MOUNTAIN BIKE – THURSDAYS

We love mountain biking and we are serious about trying to improve our skills.  But, ultimately, we just like to be out on a mountain bike and having fun. We meet every Thursday at LoweRiders Bikes and Boards at 6pm and ride either to Marsh Creek or to Harmony Hill.  The trails are a mix of beginner and intermediate levels, Struble trail, fire road and singletrack.  Are you wanting to ride but not sure how you’ll fare in a group?  Join us…..we’re not too serious.

Safety is always important! Remember to wear your helmet and bring hydration.

Thursdays @ 6pm

ROAD RIDE

Sundays in the Saddle departs from Downingtown, PA on most Sundays from March through September at 7:30 am from LoweRiders Bicycle Shop. Rides are typically 30-50 miles. Once per month we’ll have a more spirited, adventurous ride with bigger miles, maybe some dirt roads, maybe some bigger hills, or maybe something else entirely unexpected and challenging!

These will all be no-drop rides, but we will try to maintain a steady pace that will vary upon the group and time of year. Expect scenic routes with rolling hills.  In March we might average 13-15 mph, but by July we might average 15-17 mph.

If it rains, snows, sleets, or hails and we have to cancel the “real life” ride, I’ll try to schedule a Zwift ride and we can get in some miles on Watopia.

LoweRiders has limited parking and is open on Sundays, so be prepared to park at another local location and ride over to the meeting spot. This is especially true on the more adventurous rides which may (absolutely will) be longer than 3 hours!
